What is the Periodic Validation of the Membership (VPC)?

The VPC is a VOLUNTARY certification in which a certifying body, the General Council of Colleges of Opticians-Optometrists, evaluates and recognizes good professional practice, acceptance of the code of ethics and the continuous professional development of licensed opticians-optometrists for the practice of the profession.
Thus, the VPC attests that the optician-optometrist who obtains it meets and maintains the strictest standards to practice as a primary care visual health professional.
